Varsity Boys Basketball
Big week! We play Clare at Clare on Tuesday,Jan. 24th in a match up of two Class "C" ranked teams!

New Semester
General Shop- We will continue working on building and finishing the tops of our nightstands! Some students will/are working on their drawer too. Students need to bring in their hardware (hinges, handles or knobs) once their drawer is made. In order to make this project look good students will need to sand alot.
Reminder: All students need a tape measure and pencil everyday or it will affect their grade!!
Advance Shop- Lets get to work! We need to pick up the work effort because we are on the down side of the year! Their are lots of quality projects that need to be finished. Please help motivate your son/daughter to finish. Also, remember students need to pay for their projects! I recommend making payments!!
Advance P.E/ High School P.E- All students need to bring in clothes(gym clothes) to dress for P.E class everyday! Or it will hurt their grade!! They will be given a lock and locker this week so they can store their clothes until the weekend. Please have them bring their clothes home to wash for good hygeine. It is also part of their grade to participate everyday!!! Each day we will be streching, running and doing some push-ups and sit-ups!! Remember it is a participation class!! Failure to do all the activities will have a negative affect on your grade. We will also be lifting weights 3 days a week and recording our work.

Varsity basketball the week of January 9th-13th
Well we lost to Cadillac in a tough defensive battle 34-44. The boys played hard especially on the defensive end. This was a tough lost, but hopefully we can look at it as a refocusing game and something that can propel us into the rest of the season!
On Thursday we came back to beat Lake City in a big conference battle as both teams were undefeated!!!
Varsity Basketball the week of January 16th-20th!
This week we play the NMC Comets on Tuesday the 17th of January in a huge Conference battle as the Comets will look to keep pace in the conference race. Not to mention the big cross town rival battle!!! On Friday we travel to Evart in another conference game!
J.V. Basketball
The J.V played hard as well , but we lost our energy and made to many turnovers down the stretch. We did come back to beat Lake City in a big conference battle! This evened our record to 4-4.
General Shop- Students will have an exam this week that covers the processes they used in building their nightstand. This is not a difficult exam. Common sense will easily take care of this exam. Students are required to have a pencil and tape measure for class on Monday,January 16th.

Week of January 3rd -6th
Big Varsity Basketball Contest Tonight the 3rd at Pine River!!! On the road against a very good team to open conference play. Hope to see alot of fans their. We did beat Big Rapids on Dec. 22nd 61-52 to go to 4-0.
J.V. Team is playing hard and is currently at 2-2! Good kids we just need to cut down on turnovers, unforced ones. Big test on Tuesday!
Advance Shop - Heading into the final two weeks of the semester students need to be in class working on projects everyday!! Things got alittle slow just before Christmas. We are on the down side if the year when you consider SENIORS especially!!. Help me keep your son/daughter on task and working so we get projects done and paid for by the end of the year. Grades are based on student s working everyday and being in class.
General Shop- Things are progressing well. Some students will start to finish their nightstand by the middle of Feburary and will need to come up with something else to finish out the year! Just being thinking about it so we have little down time between projects. Students need to be getting hardware (handles, knobs, and hinges) for their project. This is something I went over with them before Christmas Break! Just remind your student to work everyday and clean-up because this is what their daily grade is based on!!
High School P.E/ Advance P.E.- Back to normal weeks of lifting three days a week and recording the daily lifts for 20 points!! Their will be activities on non-lifting days that students need to participate in inorder to get daily participation points!! Being dressed and on time to class are the biggest problem right now!
