Thanks to all the veterans and those who are serving today and those who have served !! A special thanks to all the former McBain students who are now serving in the military or have served !
Last blog of the year!!!
High School P.E- Advance P.E.- We will continue to enjoy different activities and the outdoors provided the weather stays nice. It is just nice to be outside! Students are expected to participate and be active. Keep in mind it is not always easy to find something tha everyone wants to do. Especially when you have 40 kids in class. There will be an exam for all students to take at the end of the year. Nothing they need to study for.Please help me to keep your son or daughter active in class (participating) !!! They do need to dress as well. At end of the year we need to get everyones clothes out of their locker! Have them bring in a bag to take them home.
Advance Shop- Just trying to get everyones project done, paid for and gone home! It sounds simple, but there always a few who drag it out to the end. Those students who are done with their project need to assist someone else with their's or use the time as a study period for exams. Some who are planning to be in shop next year could use the class to get a jump start on next year's project!!!! PArents I need your assistance with finishing the year right!!
General Shop- Look for an exam! It will be a review of the night stand building process!!!! Nothing to study for just some thinking about what equipment we used for what and how when constructing the night stand!! Please get the projects home and paid for by the end of the year!!!

Week of May 21st -May 25th
Advance Shop- Students did a great job this year with some very nice projects being made throughout the different hours of the day. Gun cabinets, computer desk. dressers, and entertainment centers were the most popular items constructed. We do need to get some projects finished before the end of the year! My main focus between now and the end of the year will be to get all projects finished. I also need to collect money from students who still owe on their projects. For students who are done working on a project for this year they can use the class time as a study hall!!.
General Shop- Time to get projects home and paid for before the end of the year!! I only have a few students who need to finish their night stand. Some still need to pay! I want students to use the class time to study and /or to make something they can work on for next year.
For some students woodshop is kinda done for the year because they are finished with their project. Please encourage your son/ daughter to use the class time as a study period for up coming exams or to stay caught up in their class work!!!!
Advance PE/ High School PE- The weather is nice now so on some days we go outside to enjoy the weather and the different opportunities.I still wish I could figure out how to get all students to participate fully and just be active! Advance PE students have been very competitive and physical in class playing soccer and or flag football! Usually we go Juniors VS Sophmores which adds a competitive edge.

Week of April 30th- May 4th
Advance P.E/ High School P.E- Lifting on Monday, Wednesday, Firday! Not asking kids to kill themselves or get all crazy in the weight room. I just want to expose kids to the weight room and become adequate at lifting weights in a safe and effective manner. With that said I need students to dress and try!!! This will earn them a A for the quarter(9 weeks). So if your child is not getting an A it is because they don't dress and or participate!
Advance Shop- Students need to finish projects and pay for them!!Seniors are down to the last 2 weeks and a few days, That last week is interupted with Senior marching etc.

I just want them to pay before it goes home. They can do homework or make something small to finish the year out. If a student knows they will be in shop next year they could start something and finish it next year.
