Testing for all 9th -11th graders on Wednesday Dec.12th in the a.m, PLAN and ACT PRACTICE!
Basketball is up and going! The Varsity and the J.V both beat Glen Lake at Glen Lake on Monday Dec. 3rd. Varsity 64-61 the J.V 56-48. Two very tough games, solid wins to jump start the season.
On Friday the Varsity and the J.V both lost in very close games. These were two very physical games, but great for preparations going forward. The J.V game saw the J.V go down early,get the lead back in the second half and eventually lose by 11. The final score does not really show how close this game was. The varsity game was sort of similar, with us getting it to 35-36, but eventually lose 53-42. Some good things to build on going forward.
Next game is at Manistee on Dec.10.
High School/Advance P.E- Monday, Wednesday and Friday students will warm-up,stretch do (22)push-ups or at least hold themselves up after doing what they can, they will also do (32) sit-ups and run (5 )laps followed by an activity to complete the hour. (flag football, soccer, floor hockey etc.) Tuesday and Thursday will be warm-up get into activity days. More time for students to participate. Some students still fail to dress and participate on a regular basis. They are hurting their grade!!
General Shop- Students need a pencil and a tape measure!!! This is a daily requirement for class or it may hurt their grade. The focus this week will be on building doors and finishing base trim. Most students do a good job of working and doing quality work.but a few find it hard to work and behave!!! Parents help me out here by talking to your son/daughter about their behavior.
Advance Shop- All students need a pencil and a tape measure everyday, this is a daily requirement and part of their grade. Advance shop students in 3rd hour last week did a hand out on finding AREA, PERIMETER, problems to help with performance on the ACT TEST. Students in 7th hour will be doing the same thing this week.
